Expedition Foods Joins The Long Road to Nordkapp

I am delighted to announce that Expedition Foods is supporting The Long Road to Nordkapp as an expedition sponsor.

When you are planning to ride more than 5,000 miles across Europe to the northernmost reaches of Norway, while carrying everything you need on a motorcycle and camping along the way, food becomes much more than something to look forward to at the end of the day. It becomes part of the expedition equipment.

That is why having Expedition Foods involved in this journey means a great deal.

Fuel for the Rider

The Long Road to Nordkapp will see me leave Plymouth in June 2027 and ride north through Europe and Scandinavia before eventually reaching Nordkapp, high above the Arctic Circle. From there, the long road home takes me south through Sweden and Denmark before returning to the UK.

There will be long days in the saddle, changing weather, remote camps and days when finding somewhere to eat will be the last thing I want to worry about.

Expedition Foods specialises in lightweight, high-energy freeze-dried meals designed specifically for people operating in demanding outdoor environments. For a motorcycle expedition where luggage space and weight matter, that makes them an excellent fit for the journey.

Just add hot water, wait for the meal to rehydrate, and you have a substantial meal without carrying tins, cooking ingredients or unnecessary additional weight.

More Than a Logo on the Bike

One of the things I want to do differently with the sponsors supporting The Long Road to Nordkapp is actually show their products being used.

Expedition Foods will not simply be a logo on a sponsor page.

Their meals will be travelling with me.

Throughout the expedition, I will be documenting the journey through the website, photography, social media and video. That means you will see what happens at the end of a 250 or 300-mile day when the tent is finally up, the bike is parked and it is time to get some food inside me.

Some evenings may involve spectacular Norwegian scenery and the midnight sun. Others will probably involve rain, cold hands and me sitting beside a motorcycle wondering why pitching a tent seemed considerably easier when I planned the expedition from home.

Either way, it will be real.

Supporting the Journey and Its Purpose

The Long Road to Nordkapp is not simply about reaching the famous globe at North Cape.

The expedition is being undertaken in support of Veterans in Action, a UK charity that helps veterans struggling with the effects of their service through adventurous activities, peer support and programmes designed to help people rebuild confidence and move forward.

Every company that chooses to support this expedition helps me make the journey possible while allowing the expedition to continue raising awareness of Veterans in Action and the work they do.

For that, I am extremely grateful.

Thank You, Expedition Foods

I would like to personally thank Keith and the team at Expedition Foods for taking an interest in The Long Road to Nordkapp and choosing to support the expedition.

From Plymouth to Nordkapp and back again.

5,000+ miles. 24 days. One motorcycle. One very long road north.
