Veterans in Action
Veterans in Action are delighted to be the chosen charity for The Long Road to Nordkapp, an ambitious motorcycle expedition that will see Darren Walley ride more than 5,000 miles from Plymouth to Nordkapp, high inside the Arctic Circle, and back again.
For us, this expedition is about far more than reaching the most northerly point of mainland Europe. It is about raising awareness of the challenges faced by veterans and their families, starting conversations about mental health, and raising vital funds to help Veterans in Action continue the work we do.
The expedition will be a greater personal challenge, with Darren taking on the journey largely self-supported, carrying his equipment, camping along the route and dealing with everything that more than 5,000 miles of European and Arctic roads can throw at him.
Every mile will have a purpose.
We are enormously grateful to Darren, everyone involved with The Long Road to Nordkapp, the organisations supporting the expedition, and every person who follows, shares or donates along the way.
In June 2027, the road north begins.
Plymouth to Nordkapp and back. More than 5,000 miles. Eight countries. One expedition with one very important purpose.
